The traits required to succeed (gain power) in these societies (even whole civilizations) are what we call “toxic masculinity" and in the diagnotic manuals are called sociopathy. Eventually these systems elevate the Most Ruthless Men who then elevate the most ruthless man among them (this is the only requirement) to lead and … down we go.

Also handy to previous collapses: a touch of the climate change, a dusting of unimpeded epidemic.

Our MRM's have just done the essential things to smashing the (still abusive) least wontonly destructive civilization men ever created. They have broken the governing mechanism of its most powerful economic and military force, and they have opened trade hostilities with all its trading partners.

Bascially: they change too much to fast in a search for enough fawning admiration to fill the gaping hole where their Self should be. Which cannot be done. This is the nature of the sociopath --- so disconnected from family or community or friendship, they always need more life energy from everything, everyone.

Both patriarchy and capitalism are extractive by design. Paragons of these twin orders, MRM's can only extract life energy, forever.

They get bored easily with the humming of support systems others find necessary or beneficial.

They have a talents for two things: extraction and pain. That's why they like pornography and prostitution: they can take real pleasure in extraction and pain unmediated by the niceties of business or politics.

The tariffs are likely to hold, entrench, and impoverish the US and any connected to it. the MRMs will hasten the deaths of the old, young, and infirm. That's what these cuts to services, saftey nets, and health are designed for. Or, that's what they will result in, which is the same fucking thing. And then, as stated by RFK Jr, they will take the able and now immiserated unemployed, cut of their SSRIs and ADHD meds, and put them to work doing the labor once done (to our bottomless shame) by exploitable migrant labor and working poor. Meanwhile, they will set women to labor in all the traditional ways: in fields, in char work, and in baby making.
