10 Nov 2024 I read a whole thread about US women who woke up at 3 am on 6 Nov with the dread feeling Trump had won. This was our intuition at work. The energy, the vibration, in the air changed, and we noticed. What changed was that the predatory energy we felt stalking all that joy and foward-looking vibe in Harris campaign, that had surfaced, lunged. The whole patriarchal apparatus is gearing up, gleeful. As the meme says, this time feels like when the second plane struck on 9/11. We know something far deeper is going on.
I don't want to exaggerate or catastrophize on top of all the soul-ick we've absorbed already. I want to assure you that , that while no animal is promised life or ease on this Earth, humans know how to make community of affinity. So let's begin, again, Sisters.
Our intuition is always on, we just have to make room for it to flow and touch our conscious mind. You've had that hair-raising, fear tingle, the 'Spidey sense' about some man, right? This is that, but on a more global scale. Some among us are highly sensitive types, with a little more receptiving to changes in the collective vibe — even while asleep! We've told we are 'too much' and 'too sensitive' all our lives, but y'all, if you were sleeping next to one of us that night, you knew a techtonic plate had slipped its hold. We are here to heard.
If you are feeling it, or if you are feeling very depressed or scared or numbed-out and can't find your feelings, or are stuck in an ineffective rage-loop about the future (me), then you are carrying the effect of on-going trauma in your muscles, nerves, gut, heart, and endocrine system.
My average sleeping heart rate over the night of November 5 to 6 was 97 BPM. I don't speed walk in my sleep. I am not OK right now.
So, I'm talking to myself when I say you have got to MOVE as much as you can, in ways your body allows to keep this soul-ick moving and moving out of you. Movement connected to breath lets energy flow OUT to make room for strength, endurance, and good-warm-bright energy with which to uphold your own bodymind and those of the women in your life.
You have to move with INTENTION. Push their gloating, their threats, their glee, his whiny bombastic fucking voice and the other one's bland camouflage voice OUT with each breath, step, gesture. Walk, shake, dance, tap your fingers very lightly on your legs, do some yoga sway right and left. Do all this going side to side, it's calming and reminds our bodies of being with people, like dance and making love. (Back and Forth brings up struggle and fear responses, like a fight.) Move your eyes back and forth across your field of vision. Qigong done with this focus is great! (I am a devotee of this flapping-warm-up movement, the first about 3 minutes of this video. Just makes me happy the way it moves energy around. Note, it's a male monk.) And focus on the icky feeling, the scary event, the stark revelation of these goblins times. Do this as best as you can stand to while using the movements to move the feeling's INTENSITY through your system and out.
Then you can look around at the place you are, the people you love, your pets, your favorite tree or boulder or long derelict fire hydrant, whatever it is that reminds you that are here in a place where have resources and time to use them.
I'm saying this from experience, not as a medical professional, just as a woman who needs to stay connected to her body in the now. EDMR practices and techniques for balancing our vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system can really help your body support your mind as you and your affinity groups figure out how to navigate whatever is to come.*

And I really like listening to this sound bath percussionist (she is a sound witch!!!) in Memphis TN while I do it. Those really big gongs activate a lot of power for me!! But any music that uplifts, centers, and calls in good energy for you is perfect. If that is L7, that is L7.
