About Us
Supporting women in resistance and increasing women's thriving requires both political and cultural work. Medusa Rising feel that welcome, joy, and deep witness are essential to this world building.
Medusa Rising is a small, international team of women who see combinations of authoritarianism and woman-hating on the increase in conservative and progressive movements around the world. We create and support international and intergenerational feminist work responding to these developing threats in radical materialist feminist tradition (#radmatfem) developed by THE RADICAL NOTION Collective.
MISSION SUBSCRIBE CONTRIBUTE MANIFESTO
Men's systems and grids of organization (from national borders to nuclear families) fracture women's living connection in solidarity. Medusa Rising works on the diagonal, the swerve, the spiral to connect women around intersections of possible building and cooperation – women building worlds. We do this by modelling generative differences - a way of working together that deepens our strengths where we can cooperate and supports our specificity where we need to work separately.

Art & Tech - Victoria Gugenheim – Victoria’s art, both mainstream and alternative, has been part of a lifelong exploration of adorning and “de-othering” people through art and personal aesthetic choice. Her activism and public speaking focuses on the consequences of "othering" because othering dehumanizes, objectifies, and makes human beings targets for everything from stereotyping at best to violence, poverty and death. Through connecting art, science, visual representations of the self, with her human rights activism Victoria explores what we can become both aesthetically and intellectually. She crafts an activism supporting detransitioners everywhere, ex-Muslims in the UK, and feminist projects the UK and Europe. Visit gugeneheim.co.uk.
Erin — Erin is a Japanese doctoral student in analytic metaphysics. She is interested in bringing second wave materialist feminist analysis to working class Japanese women.
